Financial Solutions

Finansial Solutions

FINANCIAL ARRANGEMENTS...As part of a comfortable dental visit, we want to make your financial arrangements comfortable, too. In addition to personal checks and cash, we accept all major credit cards--American Express, VISA, MasterCard, and Discover. Another financial option for you is Care Credit , which helps those who have not budgeted for needed dental treatment fees. Payment for professional services is expected at the time services are rendered.

DENTAL INSURANCE ...We would like for you to read the following information to avoid misunderstandings that may arise regarding your insurance coverage and payments. Your dental insurance policy is a contract between you and your insurance company. Our professional services are rendered to you, not the insurance company. We do not render services with the assumption that the fees will be paid by your insurance. We will be happy to provide you with a "billing receipt", or assist you in filing your insurance form, so that you may be reimbursed in accordance with your insurance company's fee schedule. We will not be responsible for negotiating a disputed claim or for your company's delayed payments. It has been our experience that problems can be cleared up faster when the patient, or policyholder, calls the insurance company personally. We will send in forms for pre-authorization of needed services when required by the insurance company or requested by you. This process can take 3 to 6 weeks, depending on your carrier. Their written reply will be an estimate of benefits available to you under the terms of your policy. This estimate will be presented to you with the understanding that it is only a guideline from which to work. Please remember, since the bill is your responsibility, the statement will show the entire fee owed. Another insurance problem that may arise is when your insurance says it covers, for example 80%, but actually pays for only 65% of the bill. The fee schedule which the insurance company uses to compute its percentage may be less than the doctor's fee schedule, or a deductible may have been applied. Some dental procedures simply are not covered. You, the patient, are responsible for the actual fee charged. We sincerely hope that this information helps you to understand your insurance claim and the responsibilities you have regarding the fees. We want you to know that no question is too small in dealing with insurance. Please call or come by any time during office hours to discuss your insurance, treatment, or fee.
